    BLIND SKI CLINIC

    9AM - 1PM

    Our Club teaches sightless Children and Adults to water ski five times a year during the summer months. The time for the Blind Ski Clinics is 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hidden Anchorage located on Fiesta Island. The Blind Ski program gives the participants self-assurance and knowledge they can participate in other activities.

    Volunteers Needed

    • In the Water: Boats and drivers for water skiers, tube rides and boat rides. We need a boat with a boom for beginning water skiers. Instructors and observers for tubing and water skiing.
    • On the Beach: Setting up chairs and skiing equipment before the Clinic. Assisting participants with skiing equipment. Registration for participants. Sign up sheets for participants for events water skiing, boat & tube rides Assisting the participants with coffee, donuts, water & hot chocolate 
    • At the Club: Cooking, preparing and serving lunch at the Club for participants & volunteers Cleaning & storing ski equipment.

    BLIND SKI CLINIC

    9AM - 1PM

    Our Club teaches sightless Children and Adults to water ski five times a year during the summer months. The time for the Blind Ski Clinics is 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hidden Anchorage located on Fiesta Island. The Blind Ski program gives the participants self-assurance and knowledge they can participate in other activities.

    Volunteers Needed

    • In the Water: Boats and drivers for water skiers, tube rides and boat rides. We need a boat with a boom for beginning water skiers. Instructors and observers for tubing and water skiing.
    • On the Beach: Setting up chairs and skiing equipment before the Clinic. Assisting participants with skiing equipment. Registration for participants. Sign up sheets for participants for events water skiing, boat & tube rides Assisting the participants with coffee, donuts, water & hot chocolate 
    • At the Club: Cooking, preparing and serving lunch at the Club for participants & volunteers Cleaning & storing ski equipment.

    9th Annual Chili Cook Off

    All are welcome so bring the kids, neighbors, friends, and parents. All adults will be charged $10 at the door to cover event costs and the winning purse.

    Be sure to RSVP

    Remember that we have limited light so please arrive on time. More importantly, this year in the spirit of Christmas, please bring an unwrapped gift to donate to needy children and we can make Christmas a brighter time for them and their families. The impact we can make will be amazing!

    The rules

    • Each individual will be given three beads upon entry to the club - a gold (best chili), a red (spiciest chili) and a brown (the worst).
    • Your Chili must be there for the tasting by 1:00pm at the latest.
    • Teams consist of 1-4 participants
    • Chili is prepared ahead of time and brought to the Club in a Crock Pot. There will be tables with a plug-in area for your Crock.
    • Individuals/Eaters will be equipped with a bowl and a spoon to taste your chili. 
    • You must name your chili and have a sign to place by your creation.

    Join us for Thanksgiving at the SDMBBSC.

    All are welcome!

    Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to express gratitude and give thanks, gathering with family and friends over a meal.

    Dinner will be served @ 3 pm (Gathering time 1 p.m.) The turkey, dressing, ham, and mashed potatoes will be provided. Please bring a dish (or two) to share that will feed at least 6-8.
