Notice to Members & Our Community

In the early morning of May 9th, a devastating fire broke out at the San Diego Mission Bay Boat & Ski Club, beginning on the north end of the building.

At this time, the building has been red-tagged, which means we are unable to enter and fully assess the extent of the damage. Thankfully, no one was injured, and there was no damage to member boats or vehicles.

While it is too early to speculate on the long-term path forward, one thing is certain: our membership is strong, our community is resilient, and we will find a way forward together-stronger than ever.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support already shown by our members, neighboring organizations, and the broader community. Special thanks to Campland, Mission Bay Yacht Club, Southwestern Yacht Club, and the many musicians and supporters who have already stepped forward offering assistance in countless ways.

Our dedicated staff has been by our side through this difficult moment, and while the road ahead may be challenging, we are committed to supporting them as we rebuild. Donations and assistance efforts are already underway, and more information on those initiatives will be shared soon.

In the meantime, we are doing everything possible to preserve the spirit of the club. Tents, tables, and temporary accommodations have been set up so we can continue gathering as a community. For members with upcoming events, we will work hard to help those plans continue whenever possible.

This is a difficult chapter, but it is not the end of our story.
